Zusammen mit seiner zweiten Frau, Mathilde von Kemnitz, entstand eine neue religiöse Bewegung, um das Leid zu verkraften; der “deutsche Gottglaube”.

In 1937 verloor hij zijn vertrouwen in de NSB (Nationaal Socialistische Beweging), om echter tijdens de oorlog warm te lopen voor de Nederlandse SS. Nu werd hij hiervan de uitgever, met publikaties als De Volksche Wacht en Hamer. Een en ander leidde tot contact met Mussert, Seyss-Inquart, Rost van Tonningen en vele anderen, waaronder Zelfs Quisling en Himmler.

Franco en de Spaanse monarchie

Een ingewikkelde machtsverhouding met het koningshuis was het gevolg. Adrian Stahlecker legt in dit boek deze wonderlijke relatie bloot.
